Benefits of Reflexology

Reflexology is thought to be effective for stress related conditions, including headaches, migraines, back pain, IBS and other digestive complaints and sleep disorders.  Stress and back pain are two of the leading causes of sickness absence in the work place.

Reflexology is suited to the business environment - it is easy to provide in the workplace, all that is needed is a small quiet area or separate room to set up a comfortable reclining chair.  Staff remain fully clothed, only socks and shoes need to be removed and  appearance is not affected - reflexology won't leave you with messy hair or make up or oily skin!

After a reflexology session staff can feel revitalised and better able to concentrate.   It may help staff already suffering from illness recover more quickly and is an excellent preventative measure to ensure that staff are better able to manage every day stress in the work place and cope more effectively under pressure.

Not only does offering reflexology in the work place have a positive effect on staff morale and motivation but it can help reduce sickness and absenteeism, increasing performance, productivity and staff retention which in turn can have significant  financial benefits for your company.
What happens at a session

Reflexology sessions can be adapted to any length of time required, however in general workplace reflexology sessions last between 25-30 minutes which includes an initial consultation to check that there are no reasons not to carry out reflexology. The treatment takes place in a reclining chair to maximise relaxation, the feet are given a quick clean and then a 20 minute reflexology routine is carried out .
